3D Charm press-on nails

3D charm press-on nails have raised, sculpted details built in place in gel rather than glued on top, so they survive rewear. Three sets are here: Haunted Doll ($78) with a sculpted bunny and 3D eye; Confetti Birthday ($70) with a cake slice and your age in silver; and Siren Shell ($66) with scallop shells and pearls.

Charms sit higher than painted art, which takes a little getting used to. In exchange, you get a cake slice, a scallop shell or an eyeball on your hand, which seems fair.

How to choose 3d charm press-ons

How high do the charms sit?

Higher than anything painted flat, and Haunted Doll sits highest of the three: a sculpted bunny, drippy ghost, spider cameo in a silver frame and a 3D eye across a medium almond. Confetti Birthday puts a cake slice, candle and balloon on long square nails, and Siren Shell puts scallop shells and pearls on long stilettos.

Are 3D charm sets practical for everyday wear?

Practical for most days and awkward for a few. Typing, hair ties and gloves take adjusting, and a raised charm is the part most likely to take a knock, so open cans with a knuckle and wear gloves for dishes. For a week of moving apartments, wear a flatter set and save these for the weekend.

What if I want a different shape or my own charms?

Order a custom set: you choose the shape, 3D sculpted charms add $18, and you approve the mockup before anything is sculpted. For the gallery sets, pick your kit from the chart on the sizing page, and size up if you are between two.

Questions about 3d charm sets

Will 3D charms fall off when I reuse the set?
They are built not to. Each charm is sculpted in place in gel and finished with two top coats rather than glued on top. If one takes a knock and loosens, a dot of clear glue at the base re-seats it.
Can I type and text with 3D charm nails?
Yes, once you adjust. Charms add height, so type with the pads of your fingers rather than the tips until it stops feeling strange. Haunted Doll takes the most getting used to, since it is the most built-up set here.
How should I store a set with sculpted charms between wears?
In the clamshell box it came in, in finger order, after buffing the old adhesive off the backs and wiping them with alcohol. Loose in a makeup bag, charms knock against each other and everything else.
