What's in the box
Ten hand-painted nails plus four spare tips, twenty-four adhesive tabs, a bottle of nail glue, an alcohol prep wipe, a mini file and a paper sizing strip. Everything arrives in a reusable clamshell box so the set has somewhere to live between wears.
How it's made
Magnetic cat-eye pigment is pulled with a magnet while the gel is still wet, which is why the shimmer sits in a band rather than flat across the nail. Each thorn is drawn by hand with a detail brush, so no two nails match. No rhinestones, no charms: two high-gloss top coats and a final cure do the rest.
Wear time and reuse
Tabs give 3–7 days. Glue gives 2–3 weeks. To remove, soak in warm soapy water for 10 minutes and lift gently from the cuticle side, then buff the adhesive off the back. One set is good for 5+ wears.
Shipping and returns
Ships free from Baltimore in 3–5 business days by USPS Ground Advantage with tracking, anywhere in the US. In a hurry? Express (USPS Priority Mail) is $12 and arrives 1–2 business days after it ships. There's no storefront or pickup, so every set arrives by mail. Because each set is hand-painted for one person we can't take returns, but if the fit is wrong we'll re-size the set once at no charge.

About the set

What's on the Chrome Thorn set?

Chrome Thorn is a rose garden with the roses taken out. Magnetic mulberry chrome, hand-drawn silver thorns, and not one rhinestone. The color sits somewhere between a plum and a bruise, and it is all in the reflection: tilt your hand and a band of shimmer slides across each nail like streetlight on a car hood. It is the goth set you can wear to a job interview, provided the job is good.

Nail by nail

  • Base, every nail: magnetic mulberry cat-eye chrome, the shimmer pulled into a single band.
  • Thumbs: the heaviest thorn work in the set, hooked branches running the full length of the nail.
  • Index, middle and ring fingers: curling thorns, open loops and sharp little barbs, no two drawn alike.
  • Black shadow lines run beside the silver on most nails, which is what gives the thorns their depth.
  • Pinkies: a tight thorn cluster on one, soft smudged silver swirls on the other, for contrast.
  • Finish: high-gloss top coats over everything, so the chrome looks wet.

How it wears

No charms and no stones means nothing here to snag on a sweater or a hair tie. Medium almond gives the chrome enough room to show off without making a keyboard awkward. It works as an everyday goth set, dresses up for a night out, and looks best under one strong light: a stage, a candle, a phone flash in a dark bar. If you have been putting off chrome because it seems like a lot, this is the version turned down to one color and one metal.
